This rug has a transitional & abrash design that is asymmetrical in colour & pattern.
The abrash inspired design of this rug includes darker to lighter colour transitions, colour fading, colour striations & a colour distressing effect.
Abrash is a term used to describe colour variations that can occur naturally over time in a rug that has been woven from different lots of small dye batches.

I do love our rug, but I was a bit surprised when it arrived. It was a little different than I imagined, in the larger size. The colours weren't quite so clear/vibrant as they looked in the image (which I imagine was of a smaller size, and so stretched out it was different, more muted).
This fits so well in my living room it is not even funny. I tailor all my furniture around the colours! It is gorgeous and I sit on it more than I sit on my couch haha.
