This rug has a transitional & abrash design that is asymmetrical in colour & pattern.
The abrash inspired design of this rug includes darker to lighter colour transitions, colour fading, colour striations & a colour distressing effect.
Abrash is a term used to describe colour variations that can occur naturally over time in a rug that has been woven from different lots of small dye batches.

We received our rug and once unrolled, we realised it was much darker and cooler in colour than the pictures suggest. I had chosen this rug as it appeared warmer and lighter than most of the others, however it is more of a grey/cool charcoal than anything else, which completely clashed with my other furniture. I sent an email advising of the colour difference and have had no response. We are very disappointed with the rug and the customer service that has followed.

We were looking for a large rug at an affordable price and really loved this design. It is on of our favourite pieces in our new home and will definitely buy from Lost Design Society again for other rooms in the house.
