Our Chunky Natural Jute Barker Bleach Rug from our Barker range is constructed from sustainably harvested jute, which is a fast-growing, renewable natural fibre. The strength of the fibres gives these rugs an added touch of durability.
These rugs are skillfully handmade in India and feature a chunky knit weave in a palette of nature inspired neutrals, navy and a splash of subtle colour.

My lounge room is very dull with dark grey carpet and heavy grey blockout curtains. I purchased this rug hoping it would introduce some light and warmth into the space and it worked! The chunky texture is VERY visually appealing in person. However, it's not very comfortable to sit on or stay standing on for long periods of time. I'm not sure why I was so surprised by this. Regardless, my partner and I are not bothered at all :^) It took a day to get used to, and the feeling when you walk on it is similar to wearing those spiky massage sandals. When you are sitting and resting your feet on the rug, it's... pleasantly refreshing.
The construction of the rug itself feels sturdy and high-quality, and it's identical to the online photos. No faults.
